Remnant 2 has well over 50 different Weapon Mods, but some of them can only be used on certain guns. These are the best of them.
With all the different guns that Remnant 2 has to offer. A lot of them already have Weapon Mods built in. Players usually get Materials from boss fights. And use them to have McCabe make Weapon Mods that they can then “slot” into Weapons.
But some Weapon Mods can only be used on certain weapons, usually weapons made from World Bosses. You can’t switch these Mods out or change them in any way. Let’s talk about the best Weapon Mods for various weapons in Remnant 2.
Bloodline
Name | Weapon Attached To | Type | Weapon Mod Description |
---|---|---|---|
Bloodline | Merciless | Long Gun | Sends out a blast that hits all enemies in its path and does damage with a 25% bonus to critical damage and a 2x bonus to stun damage. Every enemy that the bloodline hits makes its damage go up by 50%. |
This is the first Weapon Mod. It’s for a weapon that has a lot of story ties to the last Remnant game, Remnant: From the Ashes. It is locked to the Merciless and is called Bloodline. By giving the Corrupted Ravager’s Crimson Membrane to McCabe, you can make this gun. It’s a great tool, especially for people who like the idea of building around Bleed damage.
It’s also a great Weapon Mod for both boss fights and running into a lot of mobs. Just like the weapon it’s linked to. It charges fast, can be charged more than once, and does great damage.
Soul Brand
Name | Weapon Attached To | Type | Weapon Mod Description |
---|---|---|---|
Soul Brand | Rune Pistol | Hand Gun | All foes within 25 meters are hit with a Soul Brand that lasts for 25 seconds. When enemies are killed while Soul Brand is active, they leave behind an Echo that lasts for 10 seconds and heals any survivors within 3 meters of it by 10% of their Max HP. |
Now, here’s a Weapon Mod that’s much better for people who like to play as Support or Medic in games like Remnant 2. This Weapon Mod is called “Soul Brand,” and it’s part of the Rune Pistol that you got after going through this long process that included a web and some bad dreams. However, players will get the Decrepit Rune when they put the right Medallion in the Nightweaver’s Web. They can then take this rune to Nimue to make the Rune Pistol.
For the most part, this Mod just lets a player who builds for support with the Amplitude Trait walk into a room full of enemies, pop this Mod, and let their allies kill everything. Every kill will also heal any nearby allies with the Echoes it makes.
Dreadwalker
Name | Weapon Attached To | Type | Weapon Mod Description |
---|---|---|---|
Dreadwalker | Nightfall | Long Gun | When this item is used, the player enters the Nightmare Realm. Nightfall gets unlimited ammunition, a bonus to its fire rate, brief lifesteal, and stops working when you enter the Nightmare Realm. It’s also harder to hit the user while they’re moving in Nightmare Realm. It’s 10 seconds long. |
So it’s not even a fight, because this next Weapon Mod is still the most powerful in the game. Even after the developers nerfed it. The Dreadwalker Weapon Mod can only be used with the Nightfall Long Gun that the Nightweaver gives you, and it’s way too powerful.
The Nightfall is already a great Long Gun, but when Dreadwalker is turned on. It turns into a tool that can destroy a lot of things. Yes, the Weapon Mod’s affect only lasts for 10 seconds, but players can have this overpowered buff on almost all the time with the right build that is based on Mod Power Generation.
Eulogy
Name | Weapon Attached To | Type | Weapon Mod Description |
---|---|---|---|
Eulogy | Sorrow | Hand Gun | Bolts that deal damage when pulled from a target or hit a target as they return to Sorrow are called back. Bolts that are called back give the person 2% of their maximum health. Also, called bolts can add up to 5 more bolts to Sorro, which will be added to the stocks. |
The Sorrow Crossbow is one of those rare weapons in Remnant 2 that not many players find by accident. To do it, you have to first kill a certain boss, get a ring, and then talk to Meidre again. Even though most players would have already talked to her a lot by this point.
Anyone who looked it up or happened upon this, on the other hand, will be given the Sorrow by Meidre. It is a beautiful hand crossbow that is very strong. Eulogy is its Weapon Mod. It’s not the “flashiest” Weapon Mod, but it’s one of the best at helping the player stay alive. The description might make it sound like the returned bolts don’t heal the player very much, but they do. That’s not even counting the fact that players can return used bolts to the reserves as part of this mod.
Moonlight Barrage
Name | Weapon Attached To | Type | Weapon Mod Description |
---|---|---|---|
Moonlight Barrage | Crescent Moon | Long Gun | When Crescent Moon is activated, it gains power for 15 seconds. When arrows hit an enemy, they give off Moonlight. Enemies hit by arrows while Moonlight is still on them release a Moon Essence that gives the player back one arrow, heals some of their Max Health, and also speeds up their fire rate and reload. Basic Shots turn into Charged Shots on their own, and a fully charged Shot shoots two arrows instead. |
Remnant 2 has a number of different bows. The Crescent Moon, the Sagittarius, the (kind of) Arbalist, the Royal Hunting Bow, and the Sorrow are some of the signs.
One of the most important parts of many online players’ builds is the Crescent Moon. This is mostly because of its Weapon Mod, Moonlight Barrage. Even more than the Dreadwalker does for the Nightfall Long Gun. Moonlight Barrage changes the Crescent Moon so much that it’s almost like a new weapon. Players no longer have to charge their shots. When they kill an enemy, they’ll heal, get their ammo back, and even set the enemy on fire.
Nano Swarm
Name | Weapon Attached To | Type | Weapon Mod Description |
---|---|---|---|
Nano Swarm | Nebula | Hand Gun | When activated, it sends out a swarm of Nanomachines that look for enemies within 20 meters of the player and attack them over and over, dealing Acid damage each time. It’s 15 seconds long. |
Moving on to a slightly strange example, the next one is a great Weapon Mod that’s stuck on a gun that isn’t quite as good. At least from what I’ve read, the Nebula sounds like a lot of fun to use. And yes, it is fun to use when the conditions are right. The Corrosive Gas it shoots, on the other hand, has a very short range. Even shorter than the Hellfire Flamethrower—and it doesn’t look like any gear that changes range will help.
But the Nano Swarm Mod that’s locked to the Nebula is great and one of the best examples of a Weapon Mod that you can “set it and forget it.” When this Mod is turned on, it sends out a swarm of Nanomachines that automatically attack enemies that are close to the player. With the right gear that increases and improves Mod damage, players can make this swarm even more dangerous and keep them busy almost all the time.
Horizon Strike
Name | Weapon Attached To | Type | Weapon Mod Description |
---|---|---|---|
Horizon Strike | World’s Edge | Melee Weapon | When you charge an attack, a wide, horizontal projectile is sent flying at foes, hurting them as it goes. |
Let’s look at the Melee Weapons for the last two titles. It’s great that Remnant 2 has a lot of different melee weapons. Some have unique attacks, some can be thrown and automatically picked up again, and some change your state. The World’s Edge, on the other hand, is a huge, bright red greatsword that is way better than any other melee weapon. That’s only fair, since Brabus won’t give this sword to Basket Random players until they beat the game on Apocalypse level.
And Horizon Strike, the built-in Weapon Mod of the World’s Edge, is one of the best things about this sword. Using only melee attacks is only possible with a few very specific builds in Remnant 2. World’s Edge and Horizon Strike are two of the best choices.
Energy Wave
Name | Weapon Attached To | Type | Weapon Mod Description |
---|---|---|---|
Energy Wave | Hero’s Sword | Melee Weapon | With Charge Attacks, a player’s Stamina is used to fire an energy wave missile from their sword, which lets them hit enemies from a much farther distance. |
Here’s the last Weapon Mod. This one is for a weapon that you can only get after beating the campaign on Nightmare level (or by unlocking Explorer and making a new character an Explorer, but it will only work with that character).
The weapon in question is the Hero’s Sword, and the Weapon Mod that comes with it is called Energy Wave. As you can see, it’s clearly a reference to The Legend of Zelda. The sword shoots out waves of energy and looks like a standard Master Sword from a store. In any case, Energy Wave is a little hard to aim at first. But after a while of using it, it can do a lot more than you might think. Sure, the Hero’s Sword is kind of like a worse version of World’s Edge. But even a worse version of World’s Edge is very useful.
