Icc World Cup 2022 Points Table

The ICC World Cup is the biggest cricket tournament in the world, and the 2022 edition will be held in India. The format of the tournament will see 10 teams playing each other in a round-robin phase, with the top four teams progressing to the knockout stage. The points system for the tournament has been designed so that every team has an equal chance of progressing to the knockout stage, regardless of their position in the group.

Each team will receive two points for a win, one point for a tie, and no points for a loss. If two or more teams are tied on points at the end of the group stage, then they will be ranked according to their Net Run Rate (NRR). The top four teams at the end of the group stage will progress to the semi-finals, where they will play each other in a single-elimination format.

The winners of those matches will then advance to the final, where they will face off against each other to decide who lifts the trophy. So far, 46 nations have confirmed their participation in next year’s tournament which is set to be one of the biggest sporting events ever hosted by India given that it falls within its densely populated catchment areas.
